Network Architect

We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to join a mission-focused team supporting some of the nation’s most critical defense programs. This role is responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing mission-critical network architectures that support national security objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in network architecture, systems engineering, and secure communications within classified environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure enterprise network architectures.
• Analyze existing network infrastructures and implement improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues supporting mission-critical systems.
• Develop network topology diagrams, data flows, and architecture documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DoD security standards, including STIGs and secure device access controls.
• Support worldwide encrypted communications and network modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient network solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or Data Center Systems Engineer.
• 3+ years of experience in Network Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of:
• IPv4 / IPv6
• BGP
• MPLS
• QoS
• Network design and routing protocols
• Experience with STIG compliance, network hardening, COMSEC, Crypto, and secure network access.
• Experience creating and maintaining network architecture documentation using Microsoft Visio or similar tools.
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• One or more of the following certifications:
• CCNA
• CCNP
• CISSP
• Security+
• Network+

Preferred Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience supporting missile warning, space, or ground-based defense systems.
• Experience with Linux, Unix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Knowledge of enterprise network management tools, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS technologies.
• Experience designing secure on-premises and cloud-based network architectures.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
