Job description

  • As Software Engineer (m/f/d) in our product team Demand and Pricing, you play a key role in building data products around prices and promotions
  • You develop, operate, and maintain REST APIs and our data and analytics platforms
  • You automate and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, with a strong focus on scalability and reliability
  • You support and enable colleagues through pair programming and code reviews
  • As a sparring partner for the Product Owner and Tech Lead, you shape the product vision by defining requirements and refining tickets

Requirements

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer
  • Solid programming skills in Python, especially in scalable, high-throughput data processing contexts
  • Basic knowledge of another programming language, e.g., Go or JavaScript
  • Ability to design, build, deploy, and operate scalable, reliable services in production, following the β€œYou build it, you own it, you run it” mindset
  • Proven hands-on experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, BigQuery), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), cloud platforms (GCP), and cloud monitoring (Datadog)
  • Experience in agile development teams and with project management tools, ideally with the Atlassian suite
  • Fluent in English, German knowledge is nice-to-have but not required
