Job description

Nevevo LLC is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide technical assistance for our Westinghouse thermal label printer product line. This position focuses on helping residential and commercial customers successfully install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize thermal label printers across Windows, macOS, Ethernet, USB, and network environments.

The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, communicating with customers, and working with both software and hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Provide phone and email technical support for Westinghouse thermal label printers.
  • Assist customers with initial printer setup and installation.
  • Troubleshoot Windows and macOS driver installation issues.
  • Configure printers for USB and Ethernet connections.
  • Assist customers with:
  • IP address configuration
  • Static IP assignment
  • DHCP settings
  • Network discovery
  • LAN connectivity
  • Print queue issues
  • Troubleshoot communication with shipping software and business applications.
  • Assist residential and commercial customers with printer deployment.
  • Diagnose printing quality issues including:
  • calibration
  • media sensing
  • label alignment
  • ribbon loading (if applicable)
  • print darkness and speed settings
  • Document support cases and recurring technical issues.
  • Escalate software bugs or hardware defects when necessary.
  • Assist in creating support documentation and FAQs.
  • Participate in training on new printer models and firmware updates.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting computer hardware or peripherals.
  • Working knowledge of:
  • Windows 10/11
  • macOS
  • Ethernet networking
  • TCP/IP
  • IP addressing
  • Routers and switches
  • USB device installation
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Experience with shipping software, barcode printers, or thermal printers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Amazon seller tools, UPS, FedEx, USPS, ShipStation, ShippingEasy, Pirate Ship, or similar platforms is a plus.
