Job description

  • Input, processing, and maintenance of Client Distribution Lines and Equipment assets in an ESRI GIS database., Note: Once the ~3 month training period is completed in B’ham, Alabama (depends on individual), work may become mostly remote with occasional work, meetings, training, etc., in the office.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree (Geography, GIS, or similar field), GIS Certificate, or at least 2 years of full time GIS work experience is required
  • Power Distribution knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus
  • Competency with standard computer software, to include Microsoft Office suite is required
  • Compatible working in a team environment is required
  • Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus
  • Flexible to work 40 hours per week, M-F, in an office environment in Birmingham, Alabama. Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours per day, starting as early as 7am and ending as late as 5pm. Flexible to work remotely (from home) as well. Remote work requires stable broadband Internet connection of 20mb/s or capable of supporting remote desktop connections over VPN and is responsibility of worker.
