Job description

Are you looking to build your career in automotive electrical systems and vehicle development? We’re seeking an Engineering Support professional to work alongside experienced engineers, helping develop and integrate vehicle electronic components from concept through testing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys CAD, technical documentation, and hands-on vehicle support in a collaborative engineering environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Support engineers with the development and integration of vehicle electronic components.
  • Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, wiring specifications, and parts lists.
  • Assist with electronic component packaging and vehicle integration activities.
  • Prepare part orders to support prototype builds and vehicle evaluations.
  • Support ECU reflash activities and other vehicle software update tasks.
  • Create drawing comparison reports for engineering review.
  • Track and maintain engineering issue lists and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support vehicle development activities.

Requirements

  • Experience using CATIA V5 in both 3D and 2D environments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on a variety of engineering support tasks.
  • Ability to work onsite in Saline, MI, five days per week.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed (up to 30%)., * Experience supporting automotive mechanical design or vehicle development projects.
  • Knowledge of automotive wiring systems, electrical components, or vehicle electronics.
  • Experience creating or maintaining engineering documentation, BOMs, or wiring specifications., * High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • using CATIA V5 (3D & 2D): 2 years (Preferred)
  • supporting vehicle electronics: 2 years (Preferred)
  • wiring specifications: 1 year (Preferred)
  • creating engineering drawings: 2 years (Preferred)
  • ECU reflash activities: 1 year (Preferred)
  • supporting automotive engineers: 2 years (Preferred)
