Job description

The Workflow Support Specialist supports the Air Force Mission Assurance Program by developing, maintaining, and improving digital workflows, collaboration environments, and task management processes. This position works closely with Government personnel to streamline business processes, coordinate tasking, maintain documentation, and support enterprise collaboration tools within a classified environment., Mission Assurance Assessment Support

  • Plan, coordinate, and support Mission Assurance assessments
  • Maintain the Integrated Assessment Schedule
  • Coordinate with Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, Joint Staff, OSD, and other stakeholders
  • Support pre-site surveys and assessment activities

Workflow and Data Platform Support

  • Enable, sustain, and scale analytical workflows and enterprise data products
  • Support analytics, automation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Configure and use Government-directed data platforms
  • Support data-product maintenance and operational workflows

Senior Staff Officer Support

  • Coordinate staff actions, meetings, and leadership engagements
  • Prepare agendas, read-aheads, briefings, taskers, and coordination packages
  • Facilitate VTCs and office workflows
  • Track actions, decisions, suspense dates, and follow-up requirements, Workflow Support Specialist, Workflow Management, Business Process Improvement, Knowledge Management, Mission Assurance, Air Force, Department of Defense, Pentagon, Mattermost, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Task Management, Documentation, Process Improvement, TS Clearance, TS/SCI, NCR, Government Consulting

Requirements

  • Current, active, and valid Top Secret security clearance., * B.A. or B.S. degree in any field or major.
  • Three to ten years of professional work experience.
  • Currently a legal citizen of the United States of America.
  • Ability to independently perform workflow management and collaboration support duties.
  • Experience supporting workflow, task management, documentation, or business process improvement.
  • Experience using collaboration and project management tools.
  • Expertise in oral and written English communications skills.
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office environment is essential (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Security+ or SSCP is required only for candidates selected for the Workflow Support Specialist / Senior Staff Officer assignment. It is not required for the other Mission or Workflow Support assignments.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Air Force headquarters organizations.
  • Experience using Mattermost, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience documenting business processes and workflow improvements.
  • Experience supporting Mission Assurance or operational support organizations.
  • Familiarity with Government knowledge management practices.
  • Experience supporting Mission Assurance assessments or Integrated Assessment Schedules
  • Experience supporting Headquarters Air Force, Joint Staff, Combatant Command, MAJCOM, or equivalent headquarters
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Platform One, Palantir Foundry, or comparable enterprise platforms
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings, staff packages, and decision-support materials
  • Current Security+ or SSCP certification, * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

  • Project coordination: 3 years (Preferred)
  • DoD workflow, task management, business process improvement: 3 years (Required)

Security clearance:

  • Top Secret (Required)

Ability to Commute:

  • Pentagon, DC 20301 (Required)
