Network Engineer

Frederick Company currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Network Systems Engineer (Field and Remote) to join our team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients’ networks and systems environments. By quickly resolving client service request processed through our Help Desk System and responding to automatically generated monitoring alerts.

Our team is extremely diligent and strive to meet our clients’ needs in every aspect of their work., Our Network / Systems Engineer applicants should possess the following experience and certifications:

• 3 + years of experience in computer network management is required.
• Network Systems Engineer should possess strong computer skills and knowledge of Routers, Layer 2 & 3 Switches and Firewalls.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008 thru Server 2016).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to provide and maintain detailed documentation on each job completed by the Network Systems Engineer.
• Experience supporting Apple Macintosh workstations on an integrated Microsoft network is a plus, but not required.
• 2 + years of hands-on experience with Hypervisors is preferred (VMware and HyperV).
• The ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously.
• The Network Systems Engineer applicant needs to have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• The Network Systems Engineer must be organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated.
• Certifications
• A+ Certification is required.
• Network + and/or Network Essentials.
• Microsoft Certified Professional is preferred.
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert is preferred.
• WatchGuard Network Security Essentials Certification is a plus. (training will be provided if applicant does not already possess this certification).
