Job description

Position Summary: This position will serve as an ISD expert to develop courses of instruction in occupational specialties or fields for single-Service and multi-Service (Army/Navy/Air Force/Coast Guard) courses. Collaborate with a specialized team in the coordination, planning, and development of DoW medical specialties resident and distance learning training courses assigned to METC.

Leverage master-level expertise in the PADDIE (Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) framework to translate complex Service-specific requirements into structured training solutions. Employ advanced ISD principles to convert Service-specific training requirements into consolidated, measurable learning objectives, lessons, units, and courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Apply knowledge of developing learning maps to perform theory-based learning analyses from the initial training levels through the operating levels of tasks or jobs.

· Determine the learning objectives and task learning relationships.

· Organize course content and develop course plans using the foundations of instructional design.

· Identify tasks that can be supported by job or skill performance aids.

· Establish the time and emphasis to be given each unit of study, continuity between units, and the level to which students should be trained on each item.

· Utilize master-level knowledge of principles, techniques, and practices of instructional system development, adult learning theory, training research methodology, statistics, and technology to develop, review, and revise instructional materials in accordance with established learning objectives.

· Employ expertise in the design and development of testing plans and other assessment/ measurement devices to determine student achievement of instructional objectives.

· Evaluate the learning objectives of courses of instruction and the subject-matter content, texts, technical manuals, and other course materials.

· Study occupational standards in specific subject areas to be tested.

· Review and validate measurement devices to assess their utility in determining student achievement. Revise test items, as necessary, to meet instructional objectives.

· Conduct statistical analysis of examination results and individual test items to ensure validity and reliability of test material.

· Interpret survey data and recommend minor and major changes to curriculum for continuous process improvement of medical training courses., Physical Demands: The work is sedentary. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings away from the worksite within the Joint Base San Antonio. Some employees may carry light items. The work does not require any special physical effort., General: Employees are expected to adhere to all company policies and to act as role models in adherence to policies. Requirements

· Bachelors degree from an academic institute on accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the USDE is desirable.

· A minimum of five (5) years’ experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and be capable of learning and utilizing current and emerging military and commercial technology.

· Knowledge of instructional techniques and training methodologies to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise training courses.

· Experience utilizing a variety of instructional technologies, training equipment, and teaching methods to incorporate the principles of adult learning into teaching practices.

· Basic knowledge of computer equipment and the assigned area of system software.

· Demonstrate proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word., * Bachelor’s (Preferred)
