Job description

Full-time professional with an active DoD clearance to serve as a senior-level developer of training materials (instructor-led and interactive self-paced) for the federal workforce, IAW military and government standards. Leads a curriculum development team to ensure superior ISD quality and technical accuracy of all training materials and multimedia, including trainee guides, instructor guides, PowerPoint Presentations, simulations, animations, etc.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with training design using ISD principles and standards.
  • Superior ability to read, understand, and translate complex technical data into training content.
  • Demonstrated experience with COTS instructional design software/best practices.
  • Ability to research, learn, and adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, professional accountability, reliability, and commitment to excellence.
  • Superior time management skills and ability to multitask to meet assigned deadlines while working in a virtual environment.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and superior communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe PDF, and ISD software.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of/experience with military (Navy/Army/Air Force) l training, ILS, maintenance, or engineering, namely: Knowledge of U.S. Naval ship systems/Army weapons and tactical systems/USAF aircraft systems. Understanding of or experience with NTSP development. A good understanding of NAVEDTRA and other military training doctrine.Knowledge of or prior experience with CPM/LOM. Knowledge of standard formal electrical and mechanical troubleshooting procedures and practices.

Clearance: An active Secret (or above) clearance is required., Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design, English, Business, or Engineering, and 7-10 years of training development experience in a military or civilian setting.
