Job description

We are seeking a proactive IT Assistant to join our Information Technology team in Santa Maria. The IT Assistant will provide Level-1 technical support, assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our multi-network, multi-user environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of PathPoint’s technology infrastructure., * Troubleshoot end-user issues related to computer hardware, software, cell phones, printers, and other technologies.

  • Manage help desk tickets, resolving assigned tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Provide network technical support; respond to user needs and questions concerning network access.
  • Assist in providing basic computer training for users.
  • Assist with the setup and installation of information systems at facilities.
  • Assemble and configure computers, network components, and associated services.
  • Assist with upgrading network hardware and software; stay updated on new technologies and recommend upgrades.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common issues.
  • Establish and maintain network users and security groups in Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Support networked devices including computers, printers, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling IT system security; maintain high levels of network security and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with the Director and VP of Technology and Infrastructure to implement strategic goals.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to ensure minimal network downtime and support after-hours issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a technical support role.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint’s auto insurance policy.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, 40 hours per week. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays.

Starting Pay: the pay range for this position is $25.00-$28.50 (subject to change based on a variety of factors).
