Join our dynamic Security Operations Center (SOC) team as a SOC Analyst, where your expertise will be pivotal in safeguarding our digital assets and IT infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of cybersecurity, analyzing security events, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing proactive measures to prevent cyber threats. You will be instrumental in maintaining our security posture by leveraging cutting-edge cybersecurity tools, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, and industry standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks. - Conduct thorough security event management, including incident response, investigation, and escalation procedures.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and vulnerability research to identify weaknesses within IT infrastructure, network protocols, and systems.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools such as IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), firewalls (Cisco ASA), and VPNs to enforce network security policies.
- Support network security operations by managing LAN/WAN configurations, routing protocols like OSPF or BGP, and network architecture components.
- Assist in security risk assessments, system hardening efforts, and the development of system security plans aligned with ISO 27000 standards.
- Contribute to incident recovery processes, disaster recovery planning, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity defenses.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a Security Operations Center or similar cybersecurity environment.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec, VLANs, and load balancing techniques.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco ISE for identity management and access control; familiarity with Cisco routers and switches is highly desirable.
- Experience implementing or managing SIEM solutions such as Splunk or SolarWinds for log analysis and threat detection.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux (Debian, CentOS), macOS, and openSUSE; experience with system administration is essential.
- Familiarity with cloud security engineering on platforms like AWS or Google Cloud Platform; understanding cloud architecture principles is a plus.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CompTIA Security+, or Cisco CCNA Security are advantageous but not mandatory.
