Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP eWM Solution Architect / Lead Consultant to drive the architecture, design, and execution of a new state-of-the-art warehouse facility project. In this role, you will serve as the primary System Architect, taking full accountability for end-to-end SAP Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) blueprinting, hands-on configuration, and complex system integration.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical hands-on functional expertise combined with robust project management capabilities to lead cross-functional SAP teams, integrate automated warehouse systems (including Automated Guided Vehicles / AGVs via SAP MFS or custom interfaces), manage external software interfaces (TraceLink serialization, external Transportation Management Systems), and CSOS validation process with DEA
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
· Architecture & Solution Design: Serve as the Lead Solution Architect for the greenfield warehouse project. Design end-to-end functional and technical solutions within SAP eWM aligned with core business processes and operational requirements.
· Hands-On System Configuration: Perform expert hands-on functional configuration of SAP eWM (Inbound/Outbound, Internal Movement, Physical Inventory) when is needed
· AGV & Warehouse Automation Integration: Architect and implement seamless integration between SAP eWM and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) /Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS), utilizing API/ or SAP Material Flow System (MFS) for automated transport and task dispatching.
· Cross-System Integration: Design, build, and oversee interfaces between SAP eWM/MM and external enterprise systems, including TraceLink (track & trace/serialization), external Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
· Regulatory & CSOS Compliance Integration: Incorporate regulatory requirements into warehouse design, specifically incorporating Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS) processes and DEA compliance standards for pharmaceutical/regulated goods handling.
· Team Leadership & Collaboration: Coordinate and align work with key SAP cross-functional leads (SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, ABAP) and technical developers to build a robust, scalable system architecture.
· Project Management & Delivery: Apply strong project management practices to track milestones, manage technical risks, allocate resources, and ensure project delivery strictly on time and within budget.
· Testing & Cutover Management: Lead end-to-end testing cycles (Unit Testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing), cutover planning, data migration strategies, and post-go-live hypercare support.
Requirements
· Overall SAP Experience: 15+ years of hands-on technical and functional experience across the SAP ecosystem.
· Specialized Module Expertise: 10+ years of dedicated expertise in SAP eWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and SAP MM (Materials Management), including multiple full-lifecycle implementations from blueprinting through go-live.
· Automation & AGV Integration: Hands-on experience integrating SAP eWM with automated warehouse equipment, specifically Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), or conveyor systems (preferably via SAP MFS or custom interface protocols).
· Integration Expertise: Proven experience integrating SAP eWM with external platforms, specifically serialization systems (TraceLink) and external Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
· Regulatory Knowledge: Strong domain knowledge of DEA regulations, controlled substance management, and CSOS (Controlled Substance Ordering System) workflows in a warehouse environment highly preferred.
· Project Leadership: Demonstrated track record of serving as a System Architect or Project Lead on complex warehouse implementations, with proven budget, timeline, and scope management.
· Communication & Stakeholder Management: Superior communication, presentation, and cross-team negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical architectures into clear actionable plans for leadership and business teams.
Benefits & conditions
$80 - $100 an hour - Contract
