Job description

The Solutions Engineer, Data Visualization is a key contributor within the Microsoft Data and AI practice, responsible for designing and delivering enterprise analytics and data visualization solutions using Microsoft technologies. This role focuses on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business value.

The Solutions Engineer combines deep Power BI expertise with human-centered design and strong client engagement, working closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and governed analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • Power BI enterprise development experience including semantic modeling, DAX, and performance optimization

  • Strong SQL skills with relational data modeling for analytics and reporting

  • Experience delivering analytics or BI solutions in enterprise or consulting environments with direct client engagement

  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy concepts within analytics platforms

  • Experience applying human centered design principles to analytics or data visualization solutions

  • Accessibility awareness in analytics and reporting, including WCAG 2.0 or Section 508 standards

  • Experience handling sensitive or regulated data in government, healthcare, or other security-conscious environments

  • Experience deploying and supporting analytics solutions in Microsoft cloud ecosystems (Power BI with Azure or Fabric) * Microsoft Fabric experience and deep integration with Power BI

  • Advanced semantic model management using Tabular Editor or similar tools

  • Custom visual development using Deneb or comparable frameworks

  • Data engineering fundamentals including ETL processes and dimensional modeling

  • Azure analytics services exposure such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, or Databricks

  • Role based access control and Row Level Security implementation in Power BI

  • Enterprise scale analytics delivery with compliance driven requirements

  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 and DP-600 or active pursuit of certification
