Job description

  • Design end-to-end manual and mechanised operational solutions covering the following areas:
  • Data analysis (using either MS Excel or Power BI to an expert level)
  • Process flow creation
  • Equipment selection (including technologies)
  • Operational methodology selection
  • Layout design (using (AutoCAD or Sketch-up)
  • Resource modelling
  • Cost modelling
  • Manage solution design deliverables & manage critical path tasks, risks, issues and mitigations
  • Ability to self -manage workload and timescales.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer engagement skills.
  • Use strong influencing and communication skills to secure stakeholder buy-in for solutions while keeping them engaged and informed throughout.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of divisional supply chain products and capabilities, ideally with an understanding of DHL sectors, customers, and products.
  • Previous experience in a logistics support or operations role involving operations planning, process design, capacity planning or continuous improvement would be desirable.
  • Be proficient at using Excel and ideally have experience of PowerBi reporting.
  • Have experience in modelling, extrapolating and interpreting data and using this to find solutions to problems and defining your own concepts.
  • Being able to break processes down into their individual elements and to look for ways to drive increased efficiency and improve service.
  • Working in an environment, where you take ownership of your projects and manage stakeholders.
