Job description

As the sole onsite technical resource, you will be responsible for the day-to-day stability of our office technology. This role bridges the gap between end-user support and systems administration. While you will have the full support of our Senior Systems team based in the London office, you must be comfortable acting as the primary point of contact, taking ownership of onsite infrastructure, and resolving the majority of technical challenges independently. You may also be required to assist with maintenance and administration outside of regular office hours occasionally.

Requirements:

  • Onsite Ownership: Act as the primary technical lead for the local office, ensuring all meeting spaces (Teams Rooms), network points, and end-user hardware are fully operational.
  • Incident Management: Manage the full lifecycle of support tickets. You will be expected to resolve 70 80% of issues locally, including complex Windows 11 troubleshooting and software conflicts.
  • Modern Endpoint Management: Perform device enrolment and troubleshooting via Microsoft Intune. You will monitor device compliance and ensure local hardware adheres to our security policies.
  • Identity & Access: Manage user identities within Microsoft Entra (Azure AD). This includes managing group memberships, troubleshooting Conditional Access issues, and overseeing onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Collaboration & Voice: Administer the RingCentral phone system and provide high-level support for SharePoint permissions and Teams collaboration tools.
  • Infrastructure Support: Monitor local network health (Wi-Fi access points, switches) and coordinate with the senior team to troubleshoot connectivity or hardware failures in the server/comms room.
  • Security & Asset Management: Maintain a strict asset register and ensure all local hardware is patched and secure. Assist in local audits and security remediations.
  • Project Assistance: Act as the local lead for technology rollouts, such as hardware refreshes, office moves, or new software deployments.

Requirements

  • Advanced Desktop Support: Proven experience supporting Windows 11 and Office 365 apps in a business environment.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with Microsoft Entra (users, groups, and basic security) and Intune (policy application and Autopilot).
  • Networking: Understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, DHCP) to assist with onsite troubleshooting.
  • AV & VoIP: Experience supporting modern meeting room solutions (Teams/Zoom Rooms) and cloud-based telephony like RingCentral., * Autonomy: Ability to work effectively without a direct supervisor physically present; a selfstarter who can manage their own workload.
  • Problem-Solving: A logical approach to troubleshooting; someone who looks for the “root cause” rather than just applying a quick fix.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be the “face of IT” for all onsite staff.
  • Documentation: High attention to detail in keeping site-specific documentation and network diagrams up to date.
