VI and Supporter Data Officer

The role: Support the Income Processing team by analysing, coding and posting fundraising income to Raiser’s Edge. Liaise with Finance and Fundraising colleagues to obtain the information needed to process income accurately and on time., * Process and post online, BACS and single-payment income within agreed timescales.

• Commit batches and complete gift adjustments in Raiser’s Edge when required.
• Analyse income from JustGiving, PayPal and other online platforms, then post it accurately.
• Obtain missing income codes and donor details from relevant colleagues.
• Keep donor information secure and issue acknowledgement letters promptly.
• Work with Data Analysts and the Database Manager to maintain accurate records and document processes.
• Support the Database Manager and Assistant Director with related work as required.

• Proven experience of processing, committing and acknowledging income.
• Confident using CRM systems, ideally Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce, plus Excel and reporting tools.
• Accurate and organised, with sound knowledge of GDPR, Gift Aid and donor confidentiality., * A levels, or equivalent experience.
• Proven income-processing experience, including posting, committing and acknowledging income.
• Strong CRM knowledge, ideally Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce.
• Working knowledge of Excel and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access or BBDM.
• Good understanding of GDPR, Gift Aid, charity legislation and fundraising best practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently, use initiative and meet strict deadlines.
• Awareness of income-processing trends and emerging payment channels.
