IT Developers Remote and or Office Based Liverpool £25-50,000 Benefits include, free parking, health plan, sponsored development, gym membership, life insurance cover etc. Full time Monday to Friday flexible working hours
IT Software Developers, join the IT team of an established reputable and professional firm, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the company knowledge base with documented solutions and support scripts. Support, troubleshoot and develop the Visualfiles Case Management System and any other applications used by the company. As a development team member, you will support the development team delivering major improvements/change and supporting colleagues. As a development engineer you will provide a high level of user support across the business working as part of a skilled team within a structured service desk. Designing, developing of solutions and functionality, be responsible for the high quality of your own and other work.
- Provide first line support for any user queries relating to Visualfiles or any other supported application.
- Deliver system changes through the development lifecycle - from analysis of requirements to development, testing, implementation and end user training.
- Proactively improve the use of IT systems throughout the firm by identifying and resolving training needs and system improvements.
- Assist in the training of users in the use of the new systems including the I.T. support team and end users.
- Create user documentation for new features where appropriate.
- Test all configuration changes and updates prior to release to users, including organizing testing by the request user if appropriate.
- Assist with the training new staff entering the department as and when required.
- Fully remote working environment, the odd day in the office maybe required from time to time
- Work closely with other departments to deliver projects, solutions and fixes in a timely manner and to required standard.
- Produce clear, concise documentation evidencing changes made to workflows in a way that is easy for both team members and other members of the IT department to follow.
- Provide regular updates to Visualfiles Development Team Manager regarding status of developments currently working on.
- Adopt a flexible and proactive approach as may need to work on ad-hoc projects as and when required.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience developing all aspects of the Visualfiles system, or another case management system such as Proclaim.
- Possess excellent communication skills and be professional and credible with technical and non-technical people.
- Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team environment.
- Good analytical and organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- A flexible individual with good planning skills.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Desirable Skills
- Attained, or working towards, an IT related qualification.
- A background in Legal and / or Insurance sectors would be advantageous, but not essential
