Job description

Go-Ahead Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a business-critical workforce management and scheduling platform across multiple operating companies.

This is a large-scale transformation programme introducing HASTUS, a market-leading workforce planning and scheduling solution, supporting operator rostering, resource allocation and operational readiness across a complex, multi-site organisation.

We’re particularly interested in speaking with Project Managers who have successfully delivered ERP, HCM, HRIS, Workforce Management or other enterprise software implementations within large-scale, multi-business environments.

The Role

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major technology transformation programme from mobilisation through to go-live and BAU transition.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies and governance activities.
  • Drive the successful implementation of HASTUS across multiple operating companies and locations.
  • Act as the key interface between business stakeholders, operational leaders, technology teams and third-party partners.
  • Coordinate delivery across a federated operating model, balancing group standards with local requirements.
  • Oversee integrations, data readiness, testing, cutover planning and deployment activities.
  • Support change management, training, user adoption and operational readiness.
  • Provide clear reporting and governance updates to senior stakeholders and programme sponsors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering complex enterprise technology transformation programmes.
  • Strong background implementing ERP, HCM, HRIS, Workforce Management, Scheduling or other enterprise-wide platforms.
  • Experience managing large-scale, greenfield implementations in multi-site or multi-business environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior operational and executive leaders.
  • Excellent planning, governance, risk management and project controls experience.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors, systems integrators and implementation partners.
  • Ability to bridge operational and technical teams, translating business requirements into successful delivery outcomes.

Desirable

  • Experience within transport, logistics, rail, aviation, utilities or similarly operationally complex environments.
  • Exposure to workforce scheduling, rostering, optimisation or planning solutions.
  • Previous HASTUS experience.
  • Experience delivering programmes across multiple operating companies or business units.
