Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Maximo Developer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise asset management solutions using IBM Maximo Asset Management. Your expertise will support the integration of Maximo with various enterprise systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in system architecture, solution design, and a broad array of technical skills spanning service-oriented architecture, cloud infrastructure, and application development. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency across diverse industries., * Develop and customize Maximo applications to meet complex business requirements, leveraging Java, XML, and scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting.

  • Integrate Maximo with external systems using RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and other middleware solutions.
  • Design scalable system architectures incorporating microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), and virtualization technologies like VMware and ESXi.
  • Implement system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and security protocols including cloud security measures, firewalls, VPNs, and GPO policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solution architecture that aligns with enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Manage system administration tasks including load balancing, DNS configuration, DHCP management, and network security practices.
  • Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools to streamline development workflows.
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting across diverse environments-Windows, Linux, UNIX-and ensure system stability.
  • Participate in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
  • Contribute to system design documentation and provide technical guidance on system architecture best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maximo Developer or similar enterprise asset management roles with extensive knowledge of IBM Maximo Asset Management platform.
  • Strong background in systems engineering encompassing operating systems (Windows, Linux), computer networking (TCP/IP, DNS), and computer management.
  • Hands-on experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture design, and API development including RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, and scripting languages like Bash or Shell Scripting.
  • Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server; experience with ETL processes is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools; experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure; experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi is preferred.
  • Awareness of cybersecurity principles including threat intelligence, system hardening techniques, vulnerability management, and network security protocols.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies; familiarity with tools such as WDS (Windows Deployment Services), GPO management for Windows environments.
  • Educational background in computer science or related fields; certifications in cloud platforms or cybersecurity are a plus.
