The Role:
The Technical services Team works around the clock on utilities and infrastructure systems to maximize performance and availability. Through a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance they ensure these systems operate as intended, and when they don’t, they’re returned to service as soon as possible.
This role is specifically tailored to the Gigafactory Berlin waste water treatment operation, previous experience with industrial waste water is preferred. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of chemical and physical water treatment processes. What You’ll Do
- Create work instructions and operating manuals
- Develop and establish maintenance procedures and execution standards; plan and organize primary points of contact, planners, and independently make decisions as necessary
- Lead long-term projects, take responsibility for complex tasks, develop concepts and implement them
- Interface between engineers and technicians
- Improve workplace safety
- If applicable, serve as safety officer
- Perform advanced troubleshooting
- Increase plant availability through preventive measures
- Responsible for shutdown planning, including prioritization, planning, and assignment of tasks
Requirements
- Background in working as a mechanical, chemical and process engineer, maintenance or operation experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in maintenance management of industrial facilities and utilities.
- Thorough understanding of database systems, and data analytics
- Must possess process engineering skills (process development/improvement, troubleshooting, data analysis, constraint analysis, flow optimization, root cause analysis, etc.)
- Good understanding of process controls, part variation, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, and cost reduction methodologies.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems and programmable logic.
- Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage.
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Experienced with Microsoft packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and MS Project).
