Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java development, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate should have experience building reusable frameworks, scalable services, and event-driven solutions for enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Java 17+/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).
  • Strong background in building shared frameworks, reusable components, and platform services, beyond traditional application development.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with OpenAPI standards/specifications.
  • Proven experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including:
  • Resilience and fault tolerance
  • Retry mechanisms
  • Circuit breakers
  • High-availability architectures

Nice to Have

  • Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including:
  • z/OS
  • Mainframe platforms
  • CIS systems
  • Exposure to Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in large-scale, high-throughput environments.
  • Strong understanding of application security, including:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • Secrets management
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as:
  • Splunk
  • Dynatrace
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using:
  • Gradle
  • Jenkins
  • GitLab
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms:
  • Kubernetes
  • OpenShift
  • Experience working with cloud environments, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
