Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java technologies, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native application development. The ideal candidate will have experience building enterprise-scale frameworks, APIs, and event-driven solutions while driving engineering standards and platform capabilities across teams., * Strong hands-on experience with Java 17/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).

  • Proven experience building shared frameworks, platform services, and reusable enterprise components, beyond traditional application development.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and implementing OpenAPI specifications.
  • Experience building and supporting event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including:
  • Resilience engineering
  • Retry mechanisms
  • Circuit breaker implementation
  • Fault tolerance and high availability
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance solutions.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including:
  • z/OS
  • Mainframe environments
  • CIS platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in high-volume production environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern security practices, including:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • Secrets management
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as:
  • Splunk
  • Dynatrace
  • Prometheus
  • Grafana
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using:
  • Gradle
  • Jenkins
  • GitLab
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies:
  • Kubernetes
  • OpenShift
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
