Job description
Konik is partnering with a well-respected manufacturing and engineering firm seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and manufacturing of industrial systems and components. This role combines hands-on engineering with collaboration across production, R&D, and project management teams to ensure designs are feasible, optimized, and aligned with company standards. Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for production components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with design specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
- Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation to support manufacturing and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with production and project teams to troubleshoot design issues, resolve technical challenges, and implement improvements.
- Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of components to ensure reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
- Support cost analysis, process optimization, and design standardization initiatives.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and change management records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or production environments.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and materials.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining independent ownership of design responsibilities.
