Junior Application Developer

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience building and maintaining business-critical web applications.

Our current applications are primarily developed in Adobe ColdFusion, and we are actively working toward migrating to Lucee. The ideal candidate is excited to learn new technologies, contribute to modernizing existing applications, and grow as a software developer.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing web applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
• Build new features and enhance existing applications
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Work with SQL databases
• Integrate with REST APIs and third-party services
• Participate in testing, code reviews, and technical discussions
• Collaborate with the IT team on application improvements and modernization efforts

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience with at least one programming language
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with ColdFusion/CFML (Adobe ColdFusion or Lucee) is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL/MySQL
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Bootstrap or similar CSS frameworks
• Git or other version control systems
• REST APIs
• Docker or containerization
• AWS or other cloud platforms
