Job description

The Testing Lead will join a project working on federal healthcare systems and will own the quality control and test strategy across the entire suite of platform modules. They will work directly with stakeholders to define test criteria for user stories, coordinate testing across sprints, and ensure that releases meet performance targets, accessibility standards, and ultimately, the “Definition of Done”., * Work with stakeholders to create test criteria for every user story during development, and coordinate testing after each sprint to confirm stories, tasks, and bugs are ready to close

  • Design test strategies, processes, and test data; plan and lead cross-organizational testing teams across client, contractor, and sub-contractor environments
  • Provide full-spectrum testing: unit, iteration, smoke, regression, load, performance, security, and third-party tool testing
  • Conduct integrated/system testing across the entire platform to validate cross-module functionality
  • Maintain and grow the automated regression test suite; target 90%+ coverage on new code and drive incremental improvement of current coverage
  • Keep user research, usability testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as distinct, separately addressed activities - not interchangeable
  • Own accessibility testing strategy (automated and manual) against Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA, including support for assistive technology users
  • Run requirement, test plan, test case automation, validation, and operational reviews; document results, trends, and progress against objectives
  • Work with client stakeholders to prioritize and validate resolution of defects identified in testing
  • Report testing status and QASP self-assessment metrics (e.g., coverage, defect counts, penetration test findings) in monthly status reporting

In Your First 30 Days, You Will:

  • Complete Coforma new hire orientation and project onboarding
  • Confirm proper access to client systems and review current test coverage, defect backlog, and “Definition of Done” adherence across all modules of the platform
  • Meet key stakeholders, project counterparts, and module teams to understand existing test criteria practices and accessibility compliance status
  • KPI: Baseline report delivered outlining current automated test coverage %, open defect count by module, and accessibility conformance snapshot

After 60 Days:

  • Stand up a consistent test-criteria process tied to every user story, and align sprint-close testing cadence across module teams
  • Begin closing regression-coverage gaps toward the 90% target on new code and kick off a full accessibility testing pass
  • KPI: % of user stories with defined test criteria; test coverage trend line; count of accessibility findings identified and triaged

After 90 Days:

  • Full test suite (unit, regression, smoke, load, performance, security) running consistently across all modules with automated reporting
  • Deliver the first QASP self-assessment to client stakeholders with real metrics, and show measurable reduction in defect escape rate / faster sprint-close turnaround
  • KPI: 90%+ coverage on new code; zero unresolved critical/high findings (security or accessibility); sprint-close testing consistently on schedule, * Internet: Will prioritize and maintain access to strong, reliable internet for the remote nature of our work, except when on vacation or holiday.
  • Security: Will keep the highest security practices to ensure privacy and security of Coforma and client information, given the nature of our work, even when on vacation.
  • Travel Flexibility: On request and with advanced notice, will attend in-person events such as meetings, workshops, and trainings as assigned for projects that require it.
  • Brand Representation: Will represent Coforma professionally and sincerely, modeling our Company Values in all interactions.
