Transport Network Engineer

The Transport Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of carrier-grade transport and IP networks. This position plays an important role in supporting highly available, secure, and reliable network environments for customers and communities across West Texas., * Designs, implements, maintains, and supports carrier-grade transport and IP networks.

• Supports core and edge network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure network performance.
• Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots network equipment, including Juniper, Cisco, and Calix platforms.
• Supports routing, switching, broadband access, and transport technologies.
• Assists with network architecture planning, upgrades, and system improvements.
• Helps maintain highly available and secure network environments.
• Troubleshoots complex technical issues and works to resolve service-impacting network concerns.
• Supports DHCP Option 82 and related broadband access network configurations.
• Applies network security best practices across supported systems and environments.
• Works with internal teams to support customer service, field operations, and technical support needs.
• Documents network configurations, changes, processes, and troubleshooting steps as needed.
