IT Technician

This position is responsible for providing desktop technical support to staff and to the public including scheduling and performing maintenance on computer equipment, installing new software or hardware and upgrading existing software. This position communicates with vendors and with staff to diagnose and resolve problems. Assists IT Manager in training staff and in deploying network development products. Day, evening and weekend hours required.

Associate’s degree in IT-related field and/or 2 year’s equivalent experience working in IT. Experience in a public library a plus. Must have a passion for customer service and excellent troubleshooting skills. Must have understanding of network topology and configuration as well as solid PC hardware, software and Windows OS knowledge. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as PC, MAC and Linux., * IT Technician: 2 years (Required)
