Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled DevOps Engineer with specialized expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to join our innovative technology team. In this role, you will drive the automation, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and containerized applications, ensuring seamless integration and high availability across our enterprise environment. Your energetic approach will help optimize our continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enhance system reliability, and support our cloud computing initiatives.   • Automate deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, Python, and Groovy.
  • Manage containerization systems like Docker and Kubernetes to facilitate microservices architecture and ensure high availability.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like New Relic, Splunk, and Elasticsearch; analyze logs for troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into software development lifecycle (SDLC), emphasizing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD).
  • Implement cloud security best practices including firewall management, identity & access management (IAM), disaster recovery planning, and incident response procedures.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting complex issues across Linux/Unix environments, WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss, and enterprise software platforms., Join us to be at the forefront of cloud innovation! Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on GKE or Kubernetes environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure.
  • Hands-on expertise with Docker containerization technology and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, Groovy, Perl or Ruby for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage cloud resources efficiently.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, TFS or GitHub Actions to automate build and deployment workflows.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including VMware virtualization, OpenStack cloud solutions, Linux administration (CentOS/Red Hat), Windows Server environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software applications including WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat; experience with database systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB; T-SQL scripting skills preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to networking (TCP/IP), DNS, WAN/LAN configurations; familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving in an agile environment focused on continuous improvement.
