Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated React Developer to join our team to help build a cutting-edge project from scratch using Sitecore JSS, Next.js, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and configuring complex projects, developing highly responsive user interfaces, and ensuring high-quality code through testing and performance optimization.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Setup & Configuration:

o Lead the initial setup and configuration of a Sitecore JSS and Next.js TypeScript project.

o Integrate Next.js frameworks like SSR (Server-Side Rendering), SSG (Static Site Generation), and ISG (Incremental Static Regeneration) for optimal performance and scalability.

o Set up and configure build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and development environments.

  • Frontend Development:

o Develop dynamic and responsive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, SCSS, and Sitecore JSS.

o Ensure seamless integration with the Sitecore Experience Editor for editing content in real-time.

o Implement reusable components, hooks, and React state management libraries.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:

o Write and maintain unit tests using the Jest framework to ensure code quality.

o Implement end-to-end testing to cover UI and API integration.

o Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  • Performance Optimization & Security:

o Optimize frontend performance by leveraging Next.js best practices, including code-splitting and lazy-loading.

o Implement a robust Content Security Policy (CSP) and maintain high security standards for client-side rendering.

o Optimize the project for SEO using best practices in SSR and SSG.

  • Collaboration & Communication:

o Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless API integration and data flow.

Requirements

  • Core Technologies:

o Proficient in React, Next.js, TypeScript, SCSS and HTML5.

o Strong understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISG).

o 4-8 years of practical experience using above technologies

  • Sitecore JSS:

o Experience with Sitecore JSS for creating seamless, editable components is strong plus

o Understanding of integrating Sitecore Experience Editor.

  • Testing:

o Proficient with Jest for unit testing and ensuring code quality.

o Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) practices.

  • Performance Optimization:

o Experience optimizing web performance, particularly in SSR/SSG environments.

  • Other:

o Experience working with Git and CI/CD tools.

o Familiarity with setting up projects from scratch, including project structure, build configurations, and deployment pipelines.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with other testing frameworks like Cypress or Enzyme.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO optimization techniques.
  • Experience with GraphQL and REST API integrations.
