ITAD Hardware Tester

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented ITAD Hardware Tester who enjoys troubleshooting to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining our R2 certification and ensuring accurate, high-quality testing results. You will be responsible for testing incoming hardware, including servers, network switches, and other IT equipment. There will be cross-team collaboration with the IT team and Sales.

When testing volume is low, you will assist with other IT/ITAD-related duties to support overall operations

Key Responsibilities to include, but not limited to

• Test and evaluate incoming IT hardware, including servers, network switches, and related equipment.
• Develop, document, and improve hardware testing procedures for multiple device types.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all testing activities and results.
• Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to ensure tested equipment meets quality standards.
• Support the company’s R2 certification requirements through proper documentation and compliance.
• Assist with other ITAD operational tasks during testing downtime.
• Troubleshoot and adapt testing methods for new and uncommon hardware models., * Play a pivotal role in building a new company process from the ground up.

• Experience with IT hardware testing, repair, or diagnostics (servers, switches, routers, etc.).

• Strong utilization of the web for troubleshooting

• Familiarity with IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) processes and industry best practices preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to testing a wide variety of hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable learning and implementing new procedures.
