Job description

Our client is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Administrator! This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll while maintaining the integrity of the HRIS. It also serves as the primary payroll resource for employees, supports HRIS administration, reporting, audits, and system maintenance, and partners closely with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and compliance., Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly, quarterly, and off-cycle payroll accurately and on time.
  • Audit payroll data, reconcile payroll reports using Excel, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Review and validate employee timecards, payroll adjustments, final checks, and manual checks.
  • Maintain employee payroll and compensation records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.
  • Process employee status changes, deductions, leave activity, and other payroll-related updates.
  • Reconcile vacation accruals and support 401(k) payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Maintain organized payroll records and assist with payroll audits.

HRIS Administration

  • Maintain and support the HRIS and payroll system (ADP Workforce Now is a plus but comparable HRIS experience accepted).
  • Process employee data changes and ensure data integrity through regular audits.
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues, manage user access, and support system enhancements.
  • Partner with HR to improve system functionality and streamline processes.
  • Generate and maintain payroll, HR, and compliance reports for HR and Finance.
  • Assist with HRIS testing, reporting, and implementation of system updates.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • HRIS administration experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar payroll/HRIS platform.
  • Excel skills, including formulas, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Understanding of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
