Job description

We’re looking for a forward-thinking problem solver and change-maker ready to help take NexForm to the next level. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for administering the Company’s payroll process while ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. This position serves as the primary payroll subject matter expert and partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, and plant leadership to maintain payroll compliance, support reporting needs, and continuously improve payroll processes. As the organization continues to grow, this role will also support HR systems administration, reporting, and process improvements., * Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule.

  • Audit payroll data for accuracy before processing.
  • Review employee hours, earnings, deductions, taxes, and adjustments.
  • Ensure payroll complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Process bonus payments, incentive plans, retroactive pay, and off-cycle payrolls.
  • Coordinate year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing.
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Support internal and external payroll audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Prepare recurring payroll reports for Finance and HR.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations.
  • Support labor reporting and financial audits.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience processing payroll for 250+ employees preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Experience with Paycor preferred
  • Manufacturing payroll experience.
  • Multi-state payroll experience.
  • Experience supporting HRIS systems.
