Quality Assurance Technician- 1st shift

1. GENERAL FUNCTION

Perform quality activities including, but not limited to, dimensional layouts, part function testing, roving inspection, and data entry.

1. JOB REQUIREMENTS

A. Perform initial sample inspections, prepare documentation as required, and prepare customer submission packages.

B. Responsible for carrying out special quality-related projects as directed by Quality Management.

C. Assist the Quality Manager with gage calibration activities and record keeping including maintenance of test equipment.

D. Provide backup support for Roving Inspectors and perform daily inspections.

E. Maintain quality files and records, including electronic files, and SQC as necessary.

F. Assist with environmental and quality management system requirements and training as an internal audit associate.

G. Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities.

H. Help keep the quality office neat, clean, and orderly and be active in 5S implementation.

I. Assist the Quality Supervisor in coordinating internal sorting activities and preparing the appropriate documents for sorting.

J. Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Management.

REQUIRED; 3 years working in Quality in a technical role for plastic injection molding., A. Minimum of 3 years quality control/assurance experience in plastic injection molding. REQUIRED

B. Knowledge of SPC, Pareto charts, and quality problem-solving tools is a plus.

C. Must possess knowledge of blueprint reading. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.

D. Must be proficient in the use of measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and vision systems.

E. ISO 14001/IATF 16949 (ISO 9001) knowledge is helpful.

F. Knowledge of automotive requirements for acceptance package submissions (PPAP, PPK, CPK, FMEAS, Control Plans, etc.).

G. Must have adequate test scores on: Math, Graphic, and Inspection tests.

H. programmable measuring equipment.
