Job description

The quality assurance technician will test and inspect parts specifically at Start Up and Last Piece approval and at various stages of production process. Compiles and evaluates statistic data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of these products., * Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine and maintain quality and reliability standards.

  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and test products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics
  • Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.
  • Responsible for conformity to product requirements and has the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
  • Assisting in performing final audits to verify that every shipment of product leaving the company meets customer and NPNA quality standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Schematics?, Do you have a Trade school?, One year certificate from college or technical school in Quality Control (preferred)

Two to four years manufacturing and quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with GD & T is a plus.
