Job description

  • Consulting with churches using Rock RMS; understanding their needs, solving technical challenges, and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Designing and implementing processes, reports, dashboards, and workflows that help churches use data and technology effectively.
  • Implementing, managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure environments that host Rock RMS, web servers, SQL databases, and related infrastructure.
  • Assisting with new installations, upgrades, and data migrations to ensure smooth platform transitions.

Requirements

  • Experience providing technical solutions, system administration, or application support in a professional environment.
  • Strong SQL skills including writing queries, troubleshooting performance issues, and working with relational database structures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, SQL Database, networking, and monitoring).
  • Familiarity with Rock RMS or similar database driven web-based applications (CMS, CRM, ERP).
  • Comfort reading and understanding application code (C#, .NET, JavaScript).
  • Experience building workflows, reports, or dashboards within data-driven platforms.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and templating languages like Lava (or Liquid)., * Love solving complex problems with simple, elegant solutions.
  • Are a self-motivated learner who thrives on mastering new tools and technologies.
  • Have a strong attention to detail and set a high bar for excellence.
  • Are motivated by purpose and want your technical skills to serve something bigger than yourself.
  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively, especially with non-technical partners.

Bonus Points If You:

  • Have experience in PowerShell scripting, REST APIs, or automation frameworks.
  • Have supported complex multi-tenant systems.
  • Enjoy teaching and documentation - helping others grow in technical understanding.
  • Tend to paint everything bright orange.
  • Have an unusual fondness for Rock lobsters., * This is a full time, in-office position in Surprise, AZ. Where are you located? Are you willing/able to commute to our office Monday-Friday?
  • We are a software development company building software for Christian Churches and non-profits. Do you have experience working or volunteering with churches? How do you feel about doing work that helps churches?
  • Will you now, or in the future, require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)?
  • Please give a specific example of a time you used SQL querying to build a report or solve a data problem.

  • Azure: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CSS: 2 years (Preferred)
  • HTML: 2 years (Preferred)
  • SQL Scripting: 2 years (Preferred)
