Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the organization’s IT infrastructure across multiple North American locations. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems, including identity management, networking, server infrastructure, endpoint management, and cloud services in a hybrid environment.

This position reports to the VP of Information Technology and is primarily based in Reno, NV, with occasional travel required.

Key Scope of Responsibility

• Hybrid identity: Active Directory + Microsoft Entra (Azure AD)
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, InTune)
• Networking: LAN/WAN, DNS, UniFi infrastructure
• Virtual infrastructure: Hyper-V, Windows servers
• Endpoint management (MDM, security, deployment)
• Backup, Disaster Recovery, and business continuity
• Email systems, spam filtering, and Teams Voice
• Systems automation and scripting
• IT asset lifecycle management
• Compliance alignment (SOX, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Systems documentation and SOP development

• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience in a hybrid environment
• Strong experience with:
• Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
• Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, Intune)
• Windows Server and Hyper-V
• Networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN)
• Experience with endpoint management and MDM solutions
• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Experience with SSO, SCIM provisioning, and identity lifecycle management
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, NIST, ISO 27001)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi networking platforms
• Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell preferred)
• Experience in multi-site or geographically distributed environments
• Familiarity with security tools (MDR, email filtering, DNS filtering, GRC), * Systems Adminstration: 5 years (Required)
