Job description
The Manager, IT Delivery & Business Operations serves as the operational leader responsible for ensuring technology initiatives are successfully planned, prioritized, communicated, and delivered across the organization.
Working closely with the CTO, software development team, infrastructure team, and business leaders, this individual will establish governance, manage project delivery, improve communication, and ensure business priorities are translated into actionable technology initiatives.
Rather than acting as a technical architect or software developer, this role focuses on execution, coordination, accountability, and business partnership., Lead IT Project Delivery
- Own the IT project portfolio using Asana.
- Facilitate project planning and prioritization.
- Coordinate work across software development and infrastructure teams.
- Remove roadblocks impacting delivery.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule and aligned with business priorities.
- Provide executive-level status reporting.
Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary liaison between business departments and IT.
- Translate business requests into actionable technical requirements.
- Help business leaders understand technical constraints and opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships across operations, customer service, finance, and leadership.
Governance & Process Improvement
- Lead the IT Governance process.
- Facilitate monthly project review meetings.
- Improve project intake processes.
- Standardize project documentation.
- Establish repeatable operating procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Operational Leadership
- Coordinate project work across developers and infrastructure teams.
- Monitor project health and resource utilization.
- Ensure communication remains proactive and transparent.
- Help establish metrics around project delivery and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Information Technology.
- 3+ years leading technology projects or delivery teams.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing organization.
- Strong understanding of business operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience translating technical concepts into business language.
- Demonstrated ability to work with executives and operational leaders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Technical Expertise
- Project Management platforms (Asana preferred)
- Service Management platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Atera, Freshservice, etc.)
- Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with SQL reporting
- Manufacturing systems
- Microsoft Office
- Reporting and dashboard creation
Preferred Experience
