Job description
The messaging team is looking for a UX Designer to drive quality and innovation across the messaging experiences on the job seeker mobile app and desktop web, serving both job seekers and employers. The role includes designing new AI-powered messaging features and improving responsiveness between employers and job seekers so that more conversations lead to hires. This is an individual contributor design role, not a lead or strategy role., * Provide quality improvements for messaging across the job seeker mobile app and desktop web, covering both job seeker and employer experiences.
- Develop UX design for AI messaging features.
- Design work improving employer/job seeker responsiveness: reply prompts, expectation setting, status transparency, and re-engagement patterns.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and high-fidelity mockups using the company design language and patterns.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and research partners across distributed teams.
- Validate designs through A/B testing and qualitative user research.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in product UX.
- In-depth understanding of end-to-end product UX design: interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and user journeys demonstrated through a portfolio.
- Experience designing complex workflow or data-heavy enterprise experiences (search, filtering, data export, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of Figma.
- Experience integrating UX research insights and iterating on user feedback.
- Understanding of prototyping and design handoff workflows.
- Experience working within an established design system.
- Ability to work independently and ramp quickly with minimal oversight. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Research, and Legal.
Nice to have:
- Experience in messaging, inbox, communications, or notifications product.
- Expertise in accessibility (WCAG familiarity, designing for assistive technology).
- Experience with international or localized products, especially the Japanese market.
- Understanding of mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with A/B testing programs.
- Prior contractor or embedded-team experience at a large product organization.
