About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Developer to join SAL and help shape the future of ourproducts. You’ll work closely with our Head of Development to design and build the nextgeneration of our platform while continuing to enhance and support our existingsoftware, including our Windows desktop application and web-based financialmodelling platform. We’re currently modernising our software solutions, so your ideas, experience, andtechnical expertise will have a real impact. You’ll play an important role not only indevelopment, but also in influencing architecture, technical direction, and engineeringstandards. We’re a small team, which means everyone has a voice. Communication is just asimportant as technical ability. Writing great code is only part of the role, you’ll also needto collaborate effectively, explain technical decisions clearly, and work closely withcolleagues across the business.We work in an agile environment, but we’re pragmatic rather than process-driven. Responsibilities* Maintain and enhance our existing software platforms.* Work closely with the Head of Development to design and build our next-generation products.* Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.* Research, evaluate, and introduce new technologies where appropriate.* Produce and maintain technical documentation.* Share knowledge and support other members of the team.* Continuously look for ways to improve our products, processes, and engineeringpractices.
