Job description

Job Duties: Formulate and define system requirements, scope, and objectives through research and fact-finding. Collaborate with stakeholders (underwriters, claims managers, actuaries, finance teams) to gather and document business requirements for insurance data extraction, migration and reporting. Conduct detailed data analysis, risk assessment, and data validation to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance industry standards. Perform gap analysis and define data mapping rules for end-to-end insurance data integration projects. Ensure alignment of data processes with business rules, regulatory requirements, and insurance industry best practices. Design data models, workflows, and business logic for reinsurance transactions and financial reporting. Develop data transformation rules, exception handling logic, and scalable data pipelines. Validate data transformations and ensure data lineage and integrity across systems. Write optimized SQL queries and scripts for extracting policy, claims, and reinsurance data. Build and maintain dashboards, BI reports, and KPI metrics for insurance stakeholders. Define and execute test cases for data migration, transformation, and validation activities. Work with QA teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency in reports. Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles by partnering with business teams, capturing feedback, and driving improvements. Assist in production support for insurance data processes and troubleshoot data discrepancies. Support insurance carriers in audits, financial reporting, and compliance reporting requirements. Provide training sessions for clients and end users on data reporting tools and systems. Use of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domains, Agile, and Scrum.

Requirements

Position requires 2 years of experience with gathering business requirements, gap analysis, Agile, and Scrum., Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Business Analyst, Systems Manager, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with gathering business requirements, gap analysis, Agile, and Scrum. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
