Job description

The Senior Frontend Software Engineer, Home Experience will contribute to the development and enhancement of high-traffic feed pages on the platform’’s apps and website. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth, intuitive, and engaging user experience that supports users’’ exploration and engagement across the platform. The position entails collaborating across disciplines to deliver impactful features and maintain the quality and performance of key user-facing components.

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to develop new products and features.

  • Participate in the full development lifecycle including design, coding, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.

  • Write and review code and design documentation.

  • Provide feedback on product specifications and mockups.

  • Lead planning, development, and implementation of significant projects within the web architecture.

  • Promote a metrics-driven execution culture emphasizing operational excellence and system observability.

  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop roadmaps aligned with product and engineering goals.

Requirements

  • Over 6 years of software development experience with front-end languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6.

  • Experience with front-end web frameworks like LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, including CSS knowledge.

  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage project schedules.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong focus on user experience and usability with an understanding of social platforms as a plus.

  • Self-directed and innovative with a bias towards action in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating in a fully remote environment.

  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, or Thrift and API design is beneficial.

  • Understanding of large-scale web application considerations and techniques is a major plus.

  1. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
  • The base salary range for this position is: $190,800-$267,100 USD.

  • Eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units.

  • Depending on the position, eligibility for commissions may apply.
