Job description
The Staff Software Engineer, Core Platform is responsible for developing and maintaining the foundational software infrastructure that supports the organization’’s product ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in designing scalable systems and shared services that enable other teams to deliver customer-facing features efficiently. The position involves both research and development, focusing on building robust and high-performing distributed systems to process large real-time data sets.
- Responsibilities:

Provide technical direction for backend systems and APIs related to data ingestion, processing, and routing

Participate in architecture discussions and design reviews

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate feature specifications into designs and code
-
Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable code meeting customer needs

Create comprehensive automated tests and robust test plans

Mentor and coach junior engineers

Contribute to internal and external communications about product innovations

Perform stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties as required
Requirements

Experience building products using large-scale data sets with technologies such as Node.js, Typescript, and React

Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

Experience developing and using REST APIs

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development

Ability to quickly learn new technologies and develop prototypes

Strong ownership mindset focused on quality and performance

Experience developing cloud-based platform services
Benefits & conditions
- Must meet U.S. government security requirements for access to FedRAMP-authorized systems, including U.S. citizenship
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
-
Base salary range: $205,000-$245,000 USD, dependent on location and candidate experience

Eligibility for incentive compensation or corporate bonus program depending on role
