Senior Data Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data-processing solutions
• Develop and optimize data architectures for batch and real-time processing
• Integrate data from various sources
• Ensure data quality, security, governance, and compliance
• Improve the performance, reliability, and transparency of data platforms
• Collaborate with IT product teams, data analysts, and business departments
• Establish and promote best practices in data engineering, testing, documentation, and version control
• Evaluate new technologies and help shape the future data platform

• Several years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python or PySpark
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Practical experience with data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse architectures
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar is an advantage
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, automated testing
• Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an international team
• Fluent in German and English

For this position we offer a minimum payment of 62,000 EUR /year, plus social benefits and possible bonuses. Especially qualified and experienced candidates will be offered overpay.
