Job description

The hiring manager is looking for someone who is technically strong, eager to learn, and excited to help build a modern data platform. This highly visible role offers significant career growth and the opportunity to work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams while supporting a long-term cloud migration strategy., * Provide Tier 3 support for enterprise applications and production systems.

  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
  • Monitor production environments and drive continuous improvements to support processes.
  • Support SDLC environments, deployments, and automation.
  • Develop and maintain scripts, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Analyze system performance, logs, and production data to proactively identify issues.
  • Partner with engineering, infrastructure, database, and business teams to improve system reliability.
  • Support the organization’’s cloud migration and growing Snowflake environment.
  • Evolve into the primary Snowflake SME, establishing best practices across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise production support or IT operations experience.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with enterprise data warehouse technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex production environments.
  • Linux/Ubuntu administration and command-line experience.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with log analysis, monitoring tools, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake experience (preferred, not required).
  • Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse platforms.
  • SQL/PLSQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
  • Experience with Git and deployment automation tools.
  • Java application environments (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, NGINX).
  • ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
  • Python and PostgreSQL experience.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives.
