Job description

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a ServiceNow Developer SME to play a key role in building and enhancing a modern cloud platform that supports digital engineering and mission-critical operations. You’ll work at the center of a hub-and-spoke architecture with ServiceNow as the core, integrating customer tools and APIs, and enabling seamless workflows across Linux, Windows, and enterprise cloud environments. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to apply your expertise in ServiceNow development while shaping one of the most complex and high-profile programs in the government customer community., * Design, deploy, configure, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB and workflows within secure AWS cloud environments.

  • Integrate ServiceNow with external applications such as Active Directory, LDAP, IdAM, and mission applications to support operations.
  • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps applications to automate deployment of testing artifacts into ServiceNow.
  • Configure and optimize ServiceNow modules (ITOM/Discovery, SAM, Flow Designer) for performance, security, and usability.
  • Develop and maintain a platform CMDB to manage baseline configurations.
  • Work with the end users to develop, configure and deploy ServiceNow Workflows to support and enhance operations.
  • Configure ServiceNow to maximize automation for platform operations.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, document solutions, and communicate technical status to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 baseline certification (Security+ CE or higher).
  • 8-10 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience in enterprise or government environments.
  • Expertise developing and maintaining ServiceNow solutions utilizing CI/CD, test automation, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Cloud architecture and system design (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable).
  • Integration experience with Active Directory, LDAP, IdAM, and mission applications.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules such as ITOM/Discovery, SAM, and Flow Designer.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and task management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Strong troubleshooting, engineering rigor, documentation, and communication skills., * Active ServiceNow certifications (Developer, Administrator, or Implementation Specialist).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, or DynaTrace).
  • Experience with cloud solution optimization and performance tuning.
  • Integration of ServiceNow with virtualized or containerized applications.
  • Experience with change management and continuous improvement practices.
