Job description

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled Support Engineer to join our team to support the operations at the Stennis AFB, MS.. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all IT Secured Production systems (Servers, Workstations, printers, etc.) associated with the manufacturing and assembly of Secured Credential, E-Passports and related product lines.

  • Responsible for the ‘Help Desk’ functions for workstations and printers (basic and advanced troubleshooting)
  • Provide expert, technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues.
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
  • Manage and monitor systems’ resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
  • Familiarity with running cables, terminating data drops and racking and cabling servers
  • Must own ability to learn fast, adapt to new technology and changes in the environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
  • Ability to work on an integrated project team comprised of multiple technical disciplines, specifically including developers, subject matter experts, database administrators, system administrators, and system architects to implement and maintain enterprise-level information technology applications.
  • Ability to have flexible schedule and with possibility of OT each pay period
  • Some physical aspects include but are not limited to:
  • Unloading boxes at loading dock
  • Getting up on ladders to address WiFi hotspots, etc.

Certifications:

Preferably certified in any one of the following certifications; Microsoft Certified Help Desk Support Technician, or A+, or HDI, or MCITP, or MCTS.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years directly related experience in help desk Tier 2 work similar in size, scope, and complexity to the requirement contained in the SOW of this RFP.

  • At least Three years of experience in providing advanced and complex IT operations technical support such as troubleshooting VPN connectivity, Cisco AnyConnect client software log analysis, RSA Token, customer teleworking connection, printer or network or server connection issues that affects the customer’s production activities

  • Possess hands-on experience in supporting SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat pro in Windows 1O and Apple MAC platform.

  • Possess understanding of Microsoft office suite 365 cloud architecture.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SSCM or higher imaging support for current and new operating systems.

  • Possess understanding of Enterprise Service Desk system such as Service Now

  • Experience in preparing and updating instruction manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Proficient at recording, tracking and monitoring customer complaints to ensure a timely resolution., At least two (2) years of technical education or a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems
