Job description

taking ownership of core platform components and open-source codebases, focusing on performance, system execution, security, and long-term scalability.

  • Core Go Development
  • High-Performance Engineering
  • Feature Innovation & Architecture: Expand compiler and engine capabilities, supporting new protocols, data sources, and integrations.
  • Quality & Security: Monitor system telemetry, conduct internal security reviews, and oversee open-source contributions and pull requests.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product and customer engineering teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and refine product capabilities.

Requirements

  • Go Expertise: Proven Senior or Staff-level Golang experience in an ownership or lead capacity.
  • Low-Level Concepts: Hands-on experience with Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs), AST transformations, and writing performant, low-GC Go code.
  • Self-Driven Mindset: A true self-starter who digs into complex, multi-week engineering challenges and solves them robustly without needing hand-holding.
  • Remote Setup: Ability to thrive in a fully remote environment, with excellent English communication skills and availability to work within the CET time zone.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for team retreats and working sessions (at least twice a year).

Bonus Points

  • Experience with GraphQL, API Gateways, Proxies, gRPC, or networking protocols.
  • Active open-source contributions.
