Job description
Dalcom Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support a team focused on mission-critical research, development, systems engineering, and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army., * Oversee the full lifecycle of sophisticated software, web, and hardware systems from initial specifications through rollout and maintenance.
- Integrate network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices to create cohesive, resilient solutions.
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools (e.g., MagicDraw, SysML) to develop and document system architectures.
- Ensure system designs are modular, scalable, interoperable, and maintainable, leveraging MOSA principles and DoD standards.
- Conduct technical trade studies, engineering reviews, and interface mapping to verify system interoperability and compliance.
- Translate organizational interoperability visions into practical, standards-based system designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage specifications, design, coding, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare technical documentation and architectural viewpoints to support Information Support Plans (ISP) and enable system
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline
- 3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance.
- Experience with systems integration, MBSE methodologies, and tools such as MagicDraw and SysML is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with DoD standards and modular open systems approaches preferred.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare technical documentation and technical presentations.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple technical priorities.
