Job description

The Configuration Analyst I plays a key entry-level role in maintaining product integrity and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle. In this role, you will evaluate proposed product design changes to understand their impact on form, fit, and function. You will create and maintain essential change documentation, coordinate reporting processes between internal teams, customers, and manufacturing partners, and verify that all engineering change data strictly aligns with established configuration management policies and standards., * Review and analyze proposed product design modifications to evaluate their potential impact on overall product functionality, quality, and design specifications.

  • Prepare, process, and release detailed documentation required for engineering changes, maintaining accurate revision histories and configuration records.
  • Serve as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing partners, and external customers to establish and maintain clear workflows for change reporting and tracking.
  • Review released engineering data and change documentation activities to ensure strict adherence to corporate configuration management procedures and quality guidelines.
  • Follow pre-established guidelines, standards, and supervisory instructions to consistently complete configuration management tasks and audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems), Supply Chain Management, Business Information Systems, or a related technical specialty.
  • 0-3 years of professional or internship experience in configuration management, document control, or product data management.
  • Familiarity with basic engineering change concepts, terminology (e.g., ECN/ECO, BOM, revision control), and standard documentation practices.
