Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their team in Dallas, TX., * Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly scalable and reliable services and features across our diverse marketing and tax tooling platform; This includes leveraging technologies like Scala, TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL, Shell, and Google Cloud Platform, and actively exploring newer technologies to enhance our capabilities

  • Drive technical solutions from conception through deployment, collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions for both member-facing and internal tools
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and efficiency of existing systems that handle millions of daily interactions, identifying and resolving complex technical challenges
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high engineering standards
  • Actively monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the operational excellence of our critical infrastructure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, plus two (2) years with any of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Flow language, GraphQL, Python, SQL, Shell
  • Experience with relational database management systems and SQL
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using continuous development tools including Docker and GitHub
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills to effectively interact with all levels internally and external vendors while integrating with 3rd party APIs and package libraries
  • Eagerness to challenge the status quo, balanced with a reasonable and methodical approach to affecting change

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
